Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What kind of lighting do you use?

A: During the ceremony there is no artificial light used. For the reception, only a small camera mounted light is used. There are no obtrusive light stands.

Q: Do you go around and interview people?

A: Only at your request. The option of having interviews and who gets interviewed is your choice.

Q: Do I get to choose the music in the video?

A: You get to choose music for the baby photo montage and the recap.

Q: What areas do you serve? A: Most of northern New Jersey, Lower NY state and Manhattan See Map

Q: What sort of payment do you require?

A: All packages require 1/3 due at signing, 1/3 due on the day of wedding (or sometime prior to) and the balance is due when video is complete.

Q: How long does it take to finish the video? A: Normally about 2 months. However, this can be longer or shorter depending on the time of year.

Q: Is any of your work contracted out to other studios?

A: No, all work is done using the same equipment and people that made the demos that you are shown.

Q: How long have you been in business?

A: 8 years (and counting)

Q: How long will the finished video be?

A: It will be approximately 90-105 minutes long. It can be edited to be shorter if you prefer.

Q: Do you have wires all over the place?

A: No, every piece of equipment used is battery operated.

Q: What benifits are there to DVD?

A: There are 3 main benifits: 1. The picture and sound quality of DVD is far superior to that of VHS. 2. The DVD can be played hundreds of times without wearing out and it can't get eaten like a tape can. 3. With a DVD you have random access to various parts of the video. You could instantly go from your vows, to you first dance or anywhere there is a chapter point.

Q: What is this WIDE-SCREEN thing your site refers to and why would I need it?

A: In 2009 all TV stations will be required to broadcast entirely in digital. The new digital TVs (DTV) all have the shape of a movie screen, 16:9 aspect ratio instead of the current 4:3 aspect ratio. You probably have already seen these tvs popping up in electronic stores. This wide-screen format is more pleasing to watch because it more closely matches the aspect ratio of human vision. Eventually all TVs sold will be wide screen. A 4:3 video played on a 16:9 will look stretched out (making everyone in it look short and fat) or a black empty space on each side of the screen.

Q: I don't even have a wide-screen TV, so how could I watch it now?

A: Narrow screen versions will be included with your tapes and the DVD (which is included) will correctly play the narrow and wide versions of the video, depending on what type of TV it is playing for. You are having your wedding videotaped so you can watch it 10 years from now... not 10 days. Plan accordingly.
